ALMI Företagspartner AB is owned by the state and is the parent company of a
group of 21 subsidiaries, which are 51 per cent owned by the parent company.
Other owners are county councils, regional authorities and municipal cooperative
bodies. The number of employees is approximately 450. The boards of the
subsidiary companies are made up of politicians, local business representatives
and organisations with links to the business world. Operational activities are
run in the regional companies. The task of the parent company is to be
responsible for management, coordination, development of products and activities
plus the servicing of group-wide functions. ALMI's lending activity is self-
financed. Management and day-to-day operations are financed by annual grants
from the owners.
