AroCell AB's business idea is to develop and commercialize innovative bio-
markers for cell growth (tumors and cancer) within field of diagnostic,
prognostic and therapeutics applications. The initial project has been the
development of an ELISA assay based on a new patented, universal tumor marker.As
a second step the product will be licensed to some of the large diagnostic
companies to be adapted to their automated systems, which are used in all
clinical routine laboratories. When time is ready and the clinical documentation
has demonstrated the most suitable clinical application, a POCT will be
developed. The company was founded in 2003 and is privately owned.
